First Login to Microsoft 365 on a Mobile Phone<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When logging in to Microsoft 365 for the first time, you need to complete multi-factor authentication (MFA). MFA can be done on a workstation or a mobile device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To do it on a mobile phone, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open a browser and go to www.office.com. Select Sign In<\/em>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Enter your student email in the format firstname.lastname@samiedu365.fi and click Next<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Enter the password you received in the acceptance letter and select Sign In<\/em>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. A window will appear saying \u201cMore information required.\u201d Select Next.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Enable two-factor authentication using the Microsoft Authenticator app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Download the Microsoft Authenticator app to your phone by clicking Download now<\/em>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Then, select Connect your account to the app by clicking this link<\/em>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Follow the instructions in the Authenticator app. Once done, return to this window. You have now successfully linked the Authenticator app to your Microsoft 365 account. Continue by selecting Next<\/em>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Add your personal phone number to your account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Select country-code from the menu.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. Enter your phone number.Select Receive code. Select Next<\/em>.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  12. Enter the code you received via SMS in the \u201cEnter Code\u201d field and select Next<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  13. Your phone is now registered. Select Next<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  14. Select Finished\/ready.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    First Login to Microsoft 365 on a laptop or desktop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. Open an internet browser on your computer and go to https:\/\/mysignins.microsoft.com\/security-info.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Enter your credentials in the Microsoft login window. You will then be redirected to the Ammattiopisto Samiedu login page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. In the window that appears, click the Next<\/em> -button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Click the Next<\/em> -button again.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Click the Next<\/em> -button once more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. At this point, open your phone and install the Microsoft Authenticator app from the App Store or Play Store, depending on your phone\u2019s operating system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Once the app is installed and opened on your phone, select the Scan QR code<\/em> option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    8. Now scan the QR code displayed on your computer screen (which appeared after step 5) and click the Next<\/em> -button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    9. You now have Microsoft Authenticator set up, allowing you to securely authenticate in the M365 environment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
