Jatkoväylä studies leading to a university of applied sciences
Are you planning to pursue further studies after vocational education and training to qualify, for example as a bachelor of engineering, business administration or hospitality management, a physiotherapist or a nurse? If yes, the Jatkoväylä option is for you.
You can complete Jatkoväylä studies at a university of applied sciences already while you are still studying for a vocational qualification with us. This will speed up your future studies at the university of applied sciences. Jatkoväylä studies at the South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk) are available and free of charge to all students of Samiedu. You can complete them at any time during your studies, whenever suits you best.
The scope of the Jatkoväylä studies is 20 credits, of which 10 credits must be vocational studies at the UAS that is applied to, and no more than 10 credits must be studies that are common to all fields. The common studies are so-called free-elective courses, such as language courses.

Open UAS studies are also available
You can also complete courses at the Open University of Applied Sciences as part of your vocational studies. As a student at Samiedu, you can study anything at the Xamk Open UAS for free. The study units can be online courses or contact instruction. The studies can be recognized as part of your vocational qualification.
