CE4rt Project Updates: Driving Regenerative Tourism Forward

The CE4rt project continues to make remarkable progress in fostering regenerative tourism practices among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Finland and beyond. Over the past two years, the project has supported 17 Finnish companies in reshaping their approaches to tourism. These businesses have benefitted from Munster Technical University’s innovative regenerative tourism online training, tailored coaching support worth €8,250 per company, sustainable development certifications, and participation in two inspirational benchmark trips—to Iceland in spring and Ireland in November.

Through a series of surveys and interviews with nearly 80 SMEs, the project has gained deep insights into the challenges and opportunities in adopting sustainable practices. The feedback highlights significant growth in participants’ understanding of sustainability and regenerative principles, with many companies now implementing nature-positive and community-focused initiatives. The final project report, currently in preparation, will provide a comprehensive analysis of these outcomes.

CE4rt has truly showcased how collaboration, training, and support can empower businesses to align with global sustainability goals while creating unique value for their communities and the environment.
